Maltese match officials have been appointed to officiate at the UEFA Under-17 Championship mini-tournaments being held in Finland and Malta respectively.
For the Group 7 tournament which kicked-off on Thursday at the Stadium Vantaa featuring Bosnia and Herzegovina, Switzerland, Finland and Gibraltar, among the eight FIFA Match Officials assigned by UEFA to officiate these matches there are FIFA referee Ishmael Barbara and Assistant Referee Roberto Vella.
On the other hand, Maltese officials were also entrusted for the Group 1 mini-tournament hosted in Malta by the Malta Football Association at the Tony Bezzina Stadium, Paola, with Turkey, Denmark, Montenegro and host country Malta as participating teams. In total eight officials from various countries have been appointed to officiate in this Malta tournament including James Muscat tasked as Assistant Referee, and Darryl Agius appointed fourth official for this tournament.
