Naxxar Lions maintained a perfect record in Group A of the BOV Challenge League with a sixth win in as many matches as they defeated Vittoriosa Stars 3-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Monday.
Steven Meilak put the Lions ahead on the 10th minute and David Fenech doubled the score nine minutes later. Samuel Saldanha sealed the issue with a third goal on the 37th minute.
Naxxar lead the way with 18 points, followed by Zejtun and Melita on 11, Pembroke 10, San Gwann and Vittoriosa 6, Rabat 5, Marsaxlokk, Lija and Mqabba 4 and St. George’s 1.
