Victoria Hotspurs returned to winning ways in the BOV Gozo Football League First Division as they defeated Sannat Lions 5-2.
Gabriel Fernandes Olimpio put the Hotspurs ahead on the 8th minute and Robinson Blandon Rendon doubled the score on the 14th. Nebojsa Biculjevic reduced the gap for Sannat on the 17th but Christian Vella made it 3-1 on the 68th with Kakra Boakye-Mensa increasing the lead on the 79th and Andrea Debrincat added another on the 82nd. Henry Fabian Solis scored a second goal for Sannat two minutes from time.
In another match, Oratory Youths defeated Xewkija Tigers 2-0 thanks to a Pablo Vinicius de Moraes Ferreira penalty on the 63rd and a goal by Haraan Goncalves Barbosa four minutes later.
Meanwhile in the BOV Gozo Football League Second Division, a goal by Brandon Said on the 64th handed Qala Saints a narrow win over Munxar Falcons while Xaghra United defeated Gharb Rangers 5-0 courtesy of a Shemar Tristan Blair hat-trick on the 27th, 45th and 77th and goals by Matthias Cordina on the 29th and Julian Camilleri on the 90th.
