Ten Premier League players suspended

Ten Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Hamrun Spartans defender Steve Borg was banned for two matches while Bojan Kaljevic and Milos Zlatkovic (Balzan), Andrei Ciolacu, Aleandro Garzia and Kristian Keqi (Floriana), Llywelyn Cremona (Valletta), Carlos Riascos (Sirens), Raffaele Schiavi (Sliema) and Alessandro Guarnone (Valletta).

Borg skips the next two games for Hamrun against Birkirkara and Floriana. The Greens could not count on Ciolacu, Garzia and Keqi for the clash with the Spartans. Balzan’s Kaljevic and Zlatkovic and Sliema’s Schiavi will skip the Sliema-Balzan match while Guarnone and Cremona are ruled out of Valletta vs Gudja.

Sliema Wanderers officials Andrea Zammit Tabona and Alex Muscat were banned for six matches and two matches respectively.

In the BOV Challenge League, Kenny Gandini (Fgura) was handed a three-match ban while Anderson De Barros (Melita), Shawn Borg (Fgura), Siraj Arab Eddin, Clifford Gatt Baldacchino and Amadou Samb (Marsa), Owen Magro (Senglea), Dale Camilleri (St. Andrews), Gaetano Gesualdi (Zebbug) were suspended for one match.

St. George’s official Rodnick Abdilla was suspended for two matches. 

In the National Amateur League, Ristan Schembri (Birzebbuga), Liam Ciantar (Kalkara) and Josmar Farrugia (Xghajra), Gianluca Theuma (Mdina) were handed a one-match ban while Mdina official Silvio Galea was banned for two matches.
