Five Premier League players suspended Five Premire League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner.
Michael Johnson (Balzan), Nevin Portelli (Gzira), Andre Fausto Prates Rodrigues (Santa Lucia), Oscar Linton Bethancourt and Juan Pablo Morales Rengifo (Sliema) are therefore ruled out of this weekend’s matches.
Johnson and Prates are ruled out of Balzan vs Santa Lucia Portelli skips the clash with Sirens while Bethancourt and Morales will miss the game against Hamrun.
Meanwhile in the Challenge League, Valdo Goncalves Alhinho (Marsa) and Leighton Grech (Senglea) were both suspended for three matches while Manuel Angel Bustos (Rabat), Alessio Cassar (Vittoriosa), Lee PIsani (Fgura), Ryan Schembri (Luqa), Ezekiel Tawiah (Senglea) and Carlos Conceicao Filho (Tarxien) were banned for one match.
In the National Amateur League, Philip Camilleri (Gharghur) was handed a hefty five-match ban while Josmike Cesare (Msida) was banned for three matches. Aaron Mizzi (Gharghur), Joao Azambuja Studart Orban and Andriy Pisani (Kalkara), Justin Tonna (Msida), Rene Duca and Melchior Tonna (Siggiewi), Daniel Saliba (Mdina), Matthew Camilleri (Mtarfa) and Terence Agius (Zabbar) were suspended for one match.
Sta. Venera official Matthias Brancaleone was suspended for two matches
