Santa Lucia joined Birkirkara, Floriana, Gzira United, Hamrun Spartans, Hibernians and Valletta in the quarter-finals of the Izibet FA Trophy after they defeated Challenge League side St. Andrews 2-1 in a match from the Round of 16 at the Centenary Stadium on Wednesday.
Alan da Souza Silva put Santa Lucia ahead on the 7th minute but Ian Azzopardi equalised on the 17th. However on the 31st minute, Vito Plut restored the lead for Santa Lucia who had eliminated Sirens, beating them 4-1 in the Round of 32.
