Malta and Azerbaijan shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw in an Under-16 international friendly match at the MFA Training Grounds on Friday.

Jake Azzopardi put Malta ahead on the 37th but the visitors equalised five minutes in the second half courtesy of Ashrad Alakbarli and on the hour, Dinamin Baghirov made it 2-1 for Azerbaijan. However four minutes from time, Keyon Ewurum levelled matters for Malta.

The two teams will be meeting once again in another friendly match on Monday.
