Mosta returned to winning ways as they came from behind to beat Balzan by the odd goal in five in a match from the BOV Premier League Play-Out final round at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Saturday.
Balzan took the lead just before the end of the first half thanks to Milos Mijic who placed the ball at the back of the net when served by Milan Djuric.
Mosta equalised on the 73rd when off a cross by Clayton Failla from the left, Sunday Akinbule chested the ball down before hitting past goalkeeper Rudy Briffa.
Five minutes later, Diarra sent Michael Mifsud through and the veteran striker placed the ball in the corner.
Seven minutes from time, Mosta increased the lead courtesy of Sunday Akinbule who received an assist by Mifsud following a counter attack and hit hard past the Balzan goalkeeper.
Balzan reduced the gap one minute in added time thanks to Milos Zlatkovic.
Mosta ended the game in ten men after Luis Riascos received a second yellow card and was therefore sent off.
