Hamrun Spartans crowned Youth League Section A champions

Hamrun Spartans won the Youth League Section A after defeating San Gwann 4-1 to retain a two-point lead over Mosta.

Valletta had to settle for third place, followed by Balzan, Birkirkara, Pieta’ Hotspurs, San Gwann, Melita, St. Andrews, Hibernians, Sliema Wanderers and Lija Athletic. Sliema Wanderers and Lija Athletic were relegated to Section B.

Swieqi United won the Youth League Section B, finishing top, four points ahead of Naxxar Lions who also won promotion to Section A.

Santa Lucia finished third, followed by Floriana, Luqa St. Andrew’s, Zebbug Rangers, Attard, Zabbar St. Patrick, Qormi, Mqabba, Pembroke Athleta and Rabat Ajax. Pembroke and Rabat were relegated to Section C.

In Section C, Kirkop United emerged as winners, finishing eleven points clear of Tarxien Rainbows. Both Kirkop and Tarxien will be playing in Section B next season.

Marsaxlokk placed third followed by Mgarr United, Fgura United, Ghaxaq, Sirens, Zejtun Corinthians, Mellieha, Msida St. Joseph and Marsa. Msida and Marsa were relegated to Section D.

Meanwhile Gzira United won Section D, two points clear of Kalkara United. Both were promoted to Section C. Gharghur placed third, followed by Marsaskala, Senglea Athletic, Sta. Venera Lightnings, Dingli Swallows, Zurrieq, Ta’ Xbiex and Xghajra Tornados.
