Season 2021/22 for the competitions organised by the Inħobb il-Futbol Foundation came to an end on Thursday with the Awards Night during which the winners and the runners-up of both sections and the top scorers were rewarded for their achievements.
Thirty eight teams took part in the BNF Under-17 National League and forty in the BNF Under-15 National League. The Foundation also organised a Under-14 Development league in which seventeen teams took part.

In the BNF Under-17 National League, Pieta’ Hotspurs won Section A with Valletta as runners-up. Hibernians won Section B with Naxxar Lions finishing second. In Section C, Sirens emerged as winners ahead of Mgarr United while Zejtun Corinthians won Section D ahead of runners-up Siggiewi.
The top scorers in the various sections were: Section A – Ensell Attard (Mosta) 23 goals; Section B – Shazen Magri (Qormi) 20 goals; Section C – Haden Puglisevich (Zebbug Rangers) 24 goals and Section D – Zak Abela Paris (West FC) 24 goals.
Meanwhile in the BNF Under-15 National League, Valletta emerged as winners in Section A ahead of Pieta’ Hotspurs. Zurrieq won Section B with Sliema Wanderers and Gożo both finishing behind them on level points with Gozo taking the runner-up spot after winning a promotion decider on penalties. Lija Iklin won Section C finishing ahead of second-placed Zebbug Rangers while Rabat Ajax won Section D ahead of runners-up Siggiewi.
The top scorer in Section A was Denzel Muscat (Hibernians) with 18 goals; in Section B, Ubada Hijazi (Sliema Wanderers) with 22 goals; in Section C, Jonathan Bonnici (Zebbug Rangers) with 39 goals and in Section D, Seth Casalletto (Gzira) and Jayden Zammit (Siggiewi) with 16 goals.
