Floriana coach Gianluca Atzori was voted Best Premier League Coach in the first edition of the Malta Football Coaches Association Awards which was held on Saturday.
The runner-up was Thane Micallef of Gudja United.
In the Challenge League, Brian Spiteri of Zebbug Rangers was voted as Best Coach with Pembroke Athleta’s Jacques Scerri finishing as runner-up.
George Magri of Zurrieq won the award for Best Amateur League Coach ahead of Attard’s Daniel Agius.
In the Youth League, Ivan Casha of Hamrun Spartans won the award with Matthew Caruana of Kirkop United finishing as runner-up.
Melania Bajada of Birkirkara won the award for the Women’s League while Gabriel Dobre won the award for the Futsal League.
Matthew Psaila (Pieta’ Hotspurs) and Carlos Dimech (Valletta) won the awards reserved for the Under-17 and Under-15 Leagues.
Former Malta national coach and former coach of Hamrun Spartans, Valletta, Floriana and Sliema Wanderers, among others, Tony Formosa, won the Special Career Award.
