Malta international Rachel Cuschieri joined Italian Serie A side Sampdoria.

Thirty-year old Rachel Cuschieri started playing with the San Gwann nursery, signing for Birkirkara in 2005. With the Stripes, she won all the major honours in domestic competitions.

In 2014, Cuschieri moved to Cyprus to join Apollon Ladies where she won three championships in three years. In 2017, she signed for Anderlecht. They won the Super League 2017/18 but she missed the last part of the season due to an injury. The following year, she joined PSV Vrouwen in the Netherlands where she spent two years. Two years ago, Cuschieri moved to Lazio in Italy, winning the Serie B in the first year and playing in the Serie A last season.
