Birkirkara registered their second win in the BOV Premier League as they came from behind to beat Zebbug Rangers 2-1 at the National Stadium on Saturday.
Zebbug, on the other hand, suffered their second defeat after losing to Balzan last week.
Shaun Bugeja and Stanimir Miloskovic made their first appearance for Brian Spiteri’s side after serving a one-match ban while Birkirkara had Enzo Daniel Cabrera replacing Federico Falcone. New signing Jean Paul Farrugia was included as a substitute late in the game.
The Rangers took the lead on the 8th minute when off a cross by Roberto Enrique Sanchez from the left, Stanimir Miloskovic headed home past goalkeeper Giacomo Nava.
The Stripes equalised eight minutes from the end of the first half when off an Alex da Paixao corner from the left, Kevin Tulimieri headed the ball home past Jamie Azzopardi.
Fourteen minutes in the second half, Birkirkara notched the winner when off a cross by Paul Mbong from the left, Enzo Daniel Cabrera placed the ball at the back of the net.
