Under-15 national team to host Gibraltar, Scotland in UEFA Development Tournament

The Malta Under-15 Team coach Francesco Macri and his assistant Jonathan Holland have selected 20 players for the upcoming UEFA Youth Development Tournament to be held in Malta between the 9th and 13th of September.

The opening match for the boys is on Friday as they host Gibraltar, before facing Scotland on Tuesday next week, two matches sliced up with the Scotland v Gibraltar match in between scheduled to be played on Sunday.

The boys selected for this tournament are born in 2008 and come from the Youth sector of teams including Valletta, Ħamrun Spartans, Birkirkara, Floriana, Melita, Mosta, San Gwann, St. Andrews and Pieta’ Hotspurs.

The 20-man squad reads as follows:-

Goalkeepers – Sam Calleja (Melita), Jayden Farrugia (Mosta).
Central Defenders – Emerson Meilak (Valletta), Isaak Mizzi Bonello (Ħamrun Spartans), Andreas Vella (Melita), Dale Vella (St. Andrews), Kayden Zerafa (Pieta’ Hotspurs).
Wingbacks – Jean Formosa (Birkirkara), Drew Miceli (Floriana), Liam James (Valletta), Keerin Formosa (Pieta’ Hotspurs).
Central Midfielders – Jack Camilleri (St. Andrews), Scott Camilleri (Ħamrun Spartans), Daniel Pawley (Pieta’ Hotspurs).
Forwards – Ethan Brincat Winters (Ħamrun Spartans), Liam Buhagiar (Valletta), Bjorn Caruana (San Ġwann), Matteo Paolo Grech (Melita), Jaylen Zarb (Pieta’ Hotspurs), Sky Chetcuti (Floriana).
