Fgura United joined Sliema Wanderers and Zejtun Corinthians on the nine-point mark as they defeated Melita 4-2 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium in one of three matches from the BOV Challenge League in programme on Thursday.

Aroldo da Silva Arruda converted a penalty on the 11th minute and doubled the score four minutes later. A goal by Julian Abela handed Melita a lifeline on the 25th but goals by Ewertton Jose Costa Silva and Aroldo da Silva Arruda on the 62nd and 69th extended the lead. Daniel Araujo Silva reduced the gap five minutes in added time.

A goal by Bledi Alla one minute in th second half handed Attard their first win as they defeated San Gwann 1-0 at the Centenary Stadium while in another match at the same venue, St. Andrews defeated Mqabba 1-0 courtesy of Alan Borg Olivier on the 31st.

Fgura, Sliema and Zejtun lead the way with 9 points, followed by Swieqi on 7, Naxxar on 6, Lija, Melita, St. Andrews, Vittoriosa and Tarxien 4, Attard, San Gwann and Mqabba 3, Mtarfa and Zurrieq 2, Marsa and Qrendi 1, Marsaskala 0.
