Gzira United registered a third win on the trot as they defeated Sirens 3-0 at the National Stadium on Sunday.
A win which puts them on level points with Gudja United in third place. Sirens, on the other hand, remain joint-third from bottom on three points as they continue to chase their first win after six matches.
Gzira took the lead on the 10th minute when off a corner by Steve Pisani from right, the ball was deflected by Adrian Borg and Luis Riascos slammed the ball home from close range.
Two minutes later, following a clearance by Gabriel Bohrer Mentz, Jefferson served Maxuell Maia who served Luis Riascos on the right and the latter beat Matthew Grech with a diagonal shot.
Gabriel Bohrer Mentz made it 3-0 on the 65th with a powerful direct freekick which gave the Sirens goalkeeper no chance.
