Pieta’ Hotspurs register first win

After losing their first six matches, Pieta’ Hotspurs claimed their first points as they defeated Zebbug Rangers 1-0 at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Sunday.

The Hotspurs, therefore join Zebbug on the three-points mark. For Zebbug, this was the fourth successive defeat.

Terence Agius was handed a start for Pieta’ with Sekou Camara being among the substitutes. Zebbug on the other hand, had two changes as Yanis Tonna and Stanimir Miloskovic were preferred to Travis Bartolo and Ayrton Mizzi.

Pieta’ scored the all-important goal on the 70th minute when off a long-distance freekcik, Ganiu Ogungbe headed the ball down for Sekou Amadou Camara to hit home from close range.

Two minutes later, Takuma Yamaguchi was sent off for the Hotspurs after receiving a second yellow card.
