Hibernians registered a fourth win on the trot as they came from behind to beat Gudja United 2-1 at the Tony Bezzina Stadium.
The Paolites therefore leapfrog the same Gudja into fourth place, two points ahead of their opponents. For Gudja, this was the second defeat in six days after dropping just two points in the first six matches.
Gudja took the lead on the 10th minute when off a cross from the right by Nicolas Navarrete, Samuel Gomes da Mata had a shot blocked by the goalkeeper and off the rebound, Matias Muchardi slotted the ball past the Hibs goalkeeper.
Hibernians equalised nine minutes later when Bjorn Kristensen sent Jurgen Degabriele through on the left and the latter advanced into the area before placing the ball at the back of the net.
The Paolites notched the winner eleven minutes from time courtesy of Jurgen Degabriele who received an assist by Dunstan Vella and controlled the ball before beating Zammit.
