Zejtun Corinthians moved second in the BOV Challenge League as they defeated San Gwann 2-0 at t Victor Tedesco Stadium on Tuesday. 

David Xuereb put Zejtun ahead on the 39th and Andre Carlos Penha da Costa sealed the issue five minutes in added time.

Naxxar Lions, on the other hand, were held in a 1-1 draw by Mqabba at the Centenary Stadium.

Edson Cerquiera Farias put Naxxar ahead on the hour but a penalty by Ronald Makalysten Melo Costa levelled matters five minutes in added time.

Fgura United, on the other hand, defeated Mtarfa 2-0 at the Centenary Stadium thanks to a goal by Donys Quintero on the 11th and a penalty by Aroldo da Silva Arruda on the 67th.

Sliema lead the way with 24 points, followed by Zejtun on 21, Naxxar 19, Fgura 17, Melita 16, Lija and Tarxien 14, Swieqi, Zurrieq and St. Andrews 11, Attard 9, Marsa, Mtarfa and San Gwann 8, Mqabba and Vittoriosa 7, Qrendi 4 and Marsaskala 3.
