Seven Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.
Sean Cipriott (Sirens) was handed a three-match ban while Fernano Ezequiel Juarez (Floriana), Dunstan Vella (Hibernians), Leandro Aguirre (Marsaxlokk), Miguel Angel Alba (Santa Lucia), Weder Soares da Silva (Sirens) and Wilker Rocha Santos (Zebbug) were all suspended for one match.
Cipriott will skip Sirens’ next three matches against Gudja, Marsaxlokk and Hibernians. Weder Soares will also miss the Gudja game. Juarez and Alba are ruled out of Floriana vs Santa Lucia, Dunstan Vella will miss the game against Birkirkara, Aguirre is ruled out of the game against Pieta’ while Wilker will be unavailable for the game against Valletta.
Sirens coach Winston Muscat was also banned for one match.
In the Challenge League, Ivan Bojovic was handed a hefty five match ban while Leon Muscat (Lija), Isaac Galea (Vittoriosa) and Melvin Busuttil (Zurrieq) were banned for one match.
Naxxar official Adrian Cuppara and San Gwann official Dotine Deguara were banned for two matches while Vittoriosa official Gavin Mizzi was suspended for one match.
In the National Amateur League, Simone Lo Presti (Kirkop) was banned for three matches while Luke Sant (Mellieha), Gilfred Gatt (Dingli) and Ryan Farrugia (Siggiewi) were suspended for one game.
Ghaxaq official Guido Agius was banned for one match.
