Luxol to travel to Kazakhstan for UEFA Futsal Champions League elite round mini-tournament

Local champions Luxol St. Andrews were drawn in Group C of the Elite Round of the UEFA Futsal Champions League together with Benfica of Portugal, Kairat Almaty of Kazakhstan and Chrudim of Czechia as the draws were held on Thursday.

The elite round draw split the 16 contenders progressing from the main round into four groups that will decide the knockout finalists.

Luxol made it to this stage after finishing as runners-up in the Main Round Path A Group 3 mini-tournament behind Barca but ahead of Dobovec of Slovenia and Hovocubo of the Netherlands.

Benfica and Kairat Almaty are two former European champions.

The elite round will be played from 22 to 27 November and the four group winners will progress to the finals on 4/5 and 6/7 May, with the hosts to be confirmed.
