Hibernians and Birkirkara earned a point each in a 1-1 draw in a clash between two of the teams who were sharing third place at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Saturday.
A draw which puts them three points behind Gzira United and one ahead of Gudja United.
The Stripes, who were eager to bounce back following the defeat to Mosta, have therefore gone five matches without a win. The Paolites, on the other hand, register a second successive 1-1 draw.
Birkirkara took the lead on the 24th minute when off a cross by Yannick Yankam from the left, Osvaldo Iorio chested the ball down before hitting home past goalkeeper Ibrahim Kone.
Hibs, however, equalised thirteen minutes in the second half when off a cross by Jurgen Degabriele from the left, Yunusa Muritala served Kurt Shaw whose low shot from just outside the area ended at the back of the net.
