Inter, RB Salzburg to meet in friendly match in Malta

Italian giants Inter and top Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg will be facing each other in a friendly match in Malta on December 7 as the two teams will be visiting the island for a training camp in December.

The friendly was confirmed by the Austrian side who will be visiting Malta between December 4 and 8. Inter should be visiting Malta for a training camp around the same days.

Missing from the two teams will be the players of national teams involved in the 2022 FIFA World Cup which kicks-off on November 20 and will come to an end on December 18.

RB Salzburg, champions for nine consecutive years in Austria, lead the way in the Austrian Bundesliga with 36 points from 15 matches. They finished third in Group E of the UEFA Champions League behind Chelsea and Milan and will now play in the knock-out play-off of the UEFA Europa League.

Inter, on the other hand, are currently fifth in the Serie A but finished second in Group C of the UEFA Champions League behind Bayern Munich but ahead of Barcelona and Viktoria Plzen and will now face Porto in the Round of 16.
