Melita scored two goals in added time to rescue a point in a 2-2 draw with Lija Athletic at the Victor Tedesco Stadium in one of the five BOV Challenge League matches in programme on Tuesday.
Erjon Beu put Lija ahead four minutes in the second half and Camilo Andres Dias Arias doubled the score on the 62nd. However, Anderson de Barros pulled one back on the 92nd and a minute later, Mattia Comes levelled matters.
Leaders Sliema Wanderers march on thanks to a 2-1 win over Fgura United at the Centenary Stadium. Neil Frendo put Sliema ahead on the 26th but Samuel Buhagiar equalised three minutes later. However Mohamed Abdulahi Awad notched the winner on the 67th.
Goals by Neil Pace Cocks on the 27th, Leejoe Schembri on the 28th and Robinson Blandon Rendon one minute from the end of the first half handed Naxxar Lions a 3-0 win over St. Andrews in another match at the Centenary Stadium.
Swieqi United claimed three precious points thanks to a 4-2 win over San Gwann at the Centenary Stadium. Gilberto Carrara Martins Leite put Swieqi ahead after just one minute but San Gwann were quick to turn the score in their favour thanks to Matheus De Lucena Guarniento on the 3rd and the 7th. David Emmanuel Garba levelled matters one minute from the end of the first half and on the restart, Swieqi scored another two goals thanks to Gilberto Carrara on the 52nd and David Garba on the 77th.
On the other hand, a goal by Kebba Kebell Suso on the 33rd handed Attard a narrow win over Attard at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
