The Malta Football Association released the fixtures for match-day 17 of BOV Challenge League. This will be the final match-day from the first phase of the competition before teams are divided into two sections – the promotion pool consisting of six teams which would determine which teams who will be promoted to the Premier League and the relegation pool consisting of twelve teams from which six teams will be relegated to the National Amateur League.

So far, five teams have already secured their promotion pool status, namely Sliema, Naxxar, Zejtun, Tarxien and Zurrieq. On the other hand, Melita, Fgura United and St. Andrews will be battling for the remaining spot. Melita lie three points ahead of Fgura and St. Andrews and therefore a draw would be enough to secure a promotion pool spot.
