Hamrun Spartans maintained the eleven-point lead on top the BOV Premier League table thanks to a 3-0 win over Sirens at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Sunday.
The Spartans had a perfect start, taking the lead after just two minutes when off an assist by Ederson Bruno Domingos, Elvis Mashike hit low past goalkeeper Andrea Cassar.
Hamrun could have added another a few minutes later but Mashike was unlucky to hit the upright.
However, the Congolese striker was not to be denied as he beat Cassar for the second time after taking advantage of an erratic clearance by the Sirens rear-guard.
Eight minutes from time, Roko Prsa made it 3-0 for Hamrun, hitting home past the Sirens custodian following a through pass by Mashike.
