Nine Premier League players suspended

Nine Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Enzo Daniel Cabrera (Birkirkara), Matias Nicolas Garcia (Floriana), Juan Bolanos Ramires (Gudja), Zachary Scerri (Gzira), Gabriel Izquier Artiles (Hibs), Armah Ayo Vaikainah and Stephane Sessegnon (Sirens), Shaun Bugeja and Travis Bartolo (Zebbug) are therefore ruled out of this weekend’s matches.

Sirens could not count on Vaukainah and Sessegnon for the game against Balzan while Shaun Bugeja and Travis Bartolo will be unavailable for Zebbug for the clash with Pieta’. Birkirkara will be without Cabrera for the clash against Hamrun. Matias Garcia and Zachary Scerri are ruled out of Floriana vs Gzira, Juan Bolanos will miss the game against Marsaxlokk and Gabriel Izquier the clash with Santa Lucia.

In the Challenge League, Iven Zammit (Mqabba) was handed a six-match ban, Asante Agyeman (St. Andrews) a three-match ban while Mead Mifsud and Daniel Scerri (Lija), Lucas Matheus dos Santos and Petar Kanzurov (Mqabba), Owen Magro (Mtarfa) and Liam Ciantar were suspended for one match.

Marsa official Ayrton Bonnici was banned for six matches and Marsa coach Ryan Fenech was suspended for two matches. Marsaskala official Joseph Chetcuti was banned for two matches.

In the Amateur League, Ryan Cauchi (Kalkara), Alexander Akl (Mellieha), Jordan Busuttil (Pembroke), Matthias Vella (Sta. Venera), Shamison Farrugia (Ta’ Xbiex), Samuel Buhagiar (Zabbar), Steven Baldacchino and Richard Deschrijver (Mdina) and Ronaldo Esteban Begambre Jaramillo (Siggiewi) were all banned for one match while Qormi official Redeno Apap was suspended for six matches.
