Msida St. Joseph moved five points clear in Group B of the Izibet Amateur League after defeating Ghaxaq 1-0 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Wednesday.

Kevin Sammut scored the all-important goal on the 77th minute.

Msida lead the way with 33 points, followed by Rabat on 28, Gharghur 26, Luqa 25, Kirkop 20, Ghaxaq 18, St. George’s 17, Siggiewi 12, Dingli 7 and Mdina 6.
