Izibet FA Trophy: Hamrun come from behind to beat Valletta

Hamrun Spartans, Gudja United and Marsaxlokk were the final three teams to reach the quarter-finals of the Izibet FA Trophy after winning the last three matches from the Round of 16. They join Birkirkara, Gzira United, Hibernians, Mosta and Challenge League side San Gwann.

At the National Stadium, Hamrun Spartans came from behind to beat Valletta 2-1.

Federico Falcone put the Citizens ahead on the 7th minute but Elvis Mashike equalised on the hour and Matthew Guillaumier converted a penalty on the 72nd minute.

At the Tony Bezzina Stadium, a brace by Santiago Fabian Moracci handed Marsaxlokk a 2-0 win over Santa Lucia.

Moracci opened the score on the 62nd and sealed the issue with a second goal five minutes in added time.

On the other hand, a goal by Tatsuro Nagamatsu on the 70th minute handed Gudja United a narrow win over Sirens at the Tony Bezzina Stadium.
