Zabbar St. Patrick registered a comfortable 6-0 win over Ta’ Xbiex at the Sirens Stadium in a match from Group A of the Izibet Amateur League on Saturday.

Rowad Benhamed put Zabbar ahead on the 35th and Nick Borg doubled the score six minutes in the second half. Four minutes later, Kurt Borg made it 3-0. Zabbar scored three in the dying minutes thanks to Jean Claude Galea on the 84th, Nick Borg on the 86th and Alejandro Brincat on the 87th.

Kalkara United came from behind to beat Qormi 2-1 at the Luxol Stadium. Mattias Formosa put Qormi ahead on the 10th minute but Luke Farrugia equalised on the hour and four minutes later, an own goal handed Kalkara the three points.

A goal by Malcolm Vella Vidal on the 14th minute handed Mellieha a narrow win over Birzebbuga St. Peter’s at the Luxol Stadium.

Meanwhile in Group B, Gharghur dropped two important points in a 1-1 draw with Dingli Swallows at the Sirens Stadium.

Cachel Vella put Dingli ahead on the 21st with Jurgen Gerada rescuing a point for Gharghur on the 75th.
