Izibet FA Trophy: Mosta cruise to semi-finals

Mosta qualified for the semi-finals of the Izibet FA Trophy as they defeated Challenge League side San Gwann 5-0 in a match from the quarter-finals at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday.

The Blues, therefore, reach the last four of the competition for the second time in their history after defeating another two Challenge League sides in the previous rounds.

Mosta took the lead on the 27th minute thanks to a Michael Chidera Okoh long-distance effort which beat goalkeeper Jake Pisani.

Five minutes later, Ferebory Dore doubled the score, beating Pisani from close range off a corner.

Six minutes from the end of the first half, Steve Kingue headed home following a freekick.

Ferebory Dore extended the lead for Mosta twelve minutes in the second half after advancing into the area and hitting low past the San Gwann goalkeeper.
