Two Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches – Mosta’s Jacob Akrong and Jonas Rodriguez Ekani.
Akrong and Ekani will therefore miss the next game for Mosta against Gzira.
In the Challenge League, Erikys Ferreira of Naxxar was banned for threee matches, Rafael De Fex of Zejtun for two while Murilo Henrique Freire (Sliema), Melvin Busuttil (Zurrieq), Jacques Vella Critien (Mqabba), Max Borg Bartolo (Mtarfa) and Isaac Cutajar (San Gwann) were banned for one match.
Lija coach Joseph Galea was also suspended for one match and San Gwann assistant coach Xavier Saliba was banned for two matches.
In the Amateur League, Kirkop goalkeeper Jonathan Mallia was suspended for three matches while Miguel Galea (Qormi), Sebastian Saliba (Sta. Venera), Cachel Vella (Dingli), Erik Pietribiasi (Gharghur), Dusan Petrovic and Lian Sciberras (Ghaxaq), Ryan Schembri (Luqa), Mark Camilleri, Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza and Kevin Sammut (Msida), Matthias Ablett and Alexander Cauchi (St. George’s) were all handed a one-match ban.
Senglea official Ryan Pellicano was also banned for two matches.
