Sirens registered a third win on the trot as they defeated Gudja United 1-0 at the Tony Bezzina Stadium and secure their Premier League status.
A win which also enabled them to join Gudja United in ninth place on 28 points. For the latter this was the third successive defeat.
The St. Paul’s Bay side took the lead on the 62nd minute when off a cross from the right Jacob Walker headed the ball in the direction of Kei Sano who left it for Ivan Kolev to hit home.
Two minutes later, Gudja’s Juan Bolanos and Sirens’ Ivan Kolev were sent off for an argument between the two and six minutes in added time, Gudja also had Johann Bezzina sent off after receiving two yellow cards in quick succession.
