Mosta joined Balzan and Hibernians in third place thanks to a comfortable 5-0 win over ten-man Zebbug Rangers at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Saturday.
The Blues took the lead on the 22nd minute thanks to Michael Chidera Okoh who advanced on the left and into the area before hitting home past goalkeeper Jamie Azzopardi.
Zebbug received a major setback on the 31st minute when goalkeeper Jamie Azzopardi was sent off after handling the ball outside the area.
Three minutes from the end of the first half, Mosta doubled the score thanks to Zachary Brincat who placed the ball at the back of the net when served by Michael Okoh from the left.
Mosta increased the lead on the 71st minute when Christ Ememe converted a penalty after Okoh was brought down inside the area.
Zachary Brincat made it 4-0 six minutes later with a shot from inside the area which beat substitute goalkeeper Miguel Chetcuti.
Six minutes from time, Zachary Brincat completed his hat-trick with another shot from inside the area which beat Chetcuti.
