Kalkara United and Zabbar St. Patrick secured a place in Round 3 of the Izibet Amateur League Promotion Play-Offs as they both registered wins at the Sirens Stadium on Saturday.

Kalkara defeated Gharghur 3-2. Jean Paul Formosa put Kalkara ahead on the 12th minute and although Erik Pietribiasi equalised seven minutes later, Kalkara regained the lead thanks to Vadim Gulceac on the 25th and twelve minutes later, they extended the lead thanks to an own goal. Samuel Agius reduced the gap for Gharghur seven minutes in the second half.

On the other hand, Zabbar St. Patrick defeated Rabat Ajax 3-0. David Oliveira Souza put Zabbar ahead on the 15th and Nick Borg doubled the score on the 32nd. Kurt Borg sealed the issue with a goal on the 90th.

In the third round of the Play-Offs, Kalkara take on Zabbar at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Wednesday, kick-off at 20:30.

The winner will face the loser of the Promotion Decider between Mgarr United and Luqa St. Andrew’s on Sunday 23 in the Play-Offs final.

The Championship Decider between Senglea Athletic and Msida St. Joseph will be played on Sunday 16 at the Centenary Stadium at 11:30 while the Promotion Decider between Mgarr United and Luqa St. Andrew’s is scheduled for Sunday 16 at the Sirens Stadium, kick-off at 15:00.
