Birkirkara forward Brisa Campos is proving her worth in the Assikura Women’s League after being named best player for February. 

Birkirkara signed the Argentine-born player to bolster their squad and Campos is repaying their trust, scoring 11 goals in 16 games so far as the Stripes close in on their 11th national championship.

During the month of February, the 24-year-old Campos was instrumental with four goals in two games against Raiders Lija and San Ġwann.

Rapa wins Youth League award

Another Birkirkara player, Valentina Rapa, has won the Assikura Women’s Youth League Player of the Month award on the back of her performances during February. 

The young Gozitan defender produced some strong showings as the Stripes made a strong rally to revive their hopes of defending the youth league title.

Rapa, who has also featured for the first team this season, played for Birkirkara in their 4-1 win over Hibernians, scoring one of the goals, and their 4-0 victory against San Ġwann.
