Southgate names England squad for Malta clash

England manager Gareth Southgate named a 25-player group for the next two games, which start with the game against Malta on Friday 16 June.

England then plays North Macedonia at Old Trafford on Monday 19 June while Malta faces Ukraine in Trnava, Slovakia.

Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze received the first senior call-up while Brighton & Hove defender Lewis Dunk, Aston Villa’s Tyrone Mings and Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone were recalled.

The majority of the squad will start their preparations for the games on Monday 12 June, while players involved with their clubs at UEFA European Finals will join at a later date.
