Champions Luxol St. Andrews Futsal were drawn once again with Spanish giants Barça in the main round of the UEFA Futsal Champions League as the preliminary and main round draws were made on Wednesday, kicking off the 2023/24 season.
Luxol, ranked tenth in the competition, will start once again in the Main round Path A. They were drawn in Group 2 where apart from Barça, they would be facing Belgian side Sporting Anderlecht Futsal and KMF Loznica-Grad 2018 of Serbia. The latter will be hosting the mini-tournament.
The top three teams proceed to the elite round.
Barça won the Futsal Champions League four times – in 2011–12, 2013–14, 2019–20 and 2021–22 while Anderlecht knocked out Barça in last season’s elite round to reach their first finals.
