Valletta secured the services of another Argentine thirty-one year old midfielder Fernando Omar Barrientos.

A product of Lanus, Barrientos played mainly in Argentina, turining out for Rosario Central, Defensa y Justicia, All Boys and CA Gimnasia but also had spells with Villareal CF B in Spain, Atletico Paranaense in Brazil, Guarani in Paraguay and Cobreloa in Chile.

The Citizens had earlier signed Juan Bolanos and Federico Dario Jose Vega.
