Luke Tabone joins Haverfordwest County in Wales

Twenty-five year old defender Luke Tabone joined Haverfordwest County AFC in Wales on a two-year deal.

Haverforwest County placed seventh last season in the Cymru Premier – Wales’ top division – but entered the play-offs for a UEFA Europa Conference League spot, defeating Cardiff Metropolitan University and Newtown who had placed fourth and sixth respectively. In the UEFA Europa Conference League, they will be facing Shkëndija of North Macedonia.

A product of Nadur Youngsters, Luke Tabone spent two years at Burnley between 2016 and 2018 and then returned to Nadur. However in summer 2021, he moved to Gzira United where he spent the last two years.

Tabone formed part of the Malta national squad for the EURO qualifier against North Macedonia in March but is yet to make his debut.
