Birkirkara will be facing another tricky test as they take on Floriana in one of four matches from the BOV Premier League in programme on Saturday.
Hibernians take on Santa Lucia, Balzan face Gzira United while Naxxar Lions take on Hamrun Spartans.
In the first match at the National Stadium, Floriana meet Birkirkara.
The two teams registered wins in their first outings as Floriana beat Santa Lucia 4-0 while Birkirkara defeated Sliema Wanderers 1-0.
Birkirkara continued to strengthen their squad over the past days with the signing of Daniele Mariani, Marko Djurisic and Ali Diakite.
In the first match at the Tony Bezzina Stadium, Hibernians host Santa Lucia.
The Paolites will be hoping to continue where they had left last week as they defeated Gzira United 4-0. Santa Lucia, on the other hand, hope to bounce back from the 0-4 defeat to Floriana.
Steve Pisani is ruled out for the latter as he serves a one-match ban.
In the second match at the Tony Bezzina Stadium, Balzan face Gzira United.
Both teams chase their first points as they suffered defeats but while Balzan lost narrowly to Hamrun, Gzira conceded four goals in the defeat to Hibernians.
Zach Scerri serves a one-match ban for the Maroons.
In the second match at the National Stadium, Naxxar Lions face Hamrun Spartans.
The Lions suffered a heavy 1-5 defeat to Marsaxlokk in their first outing while Hamrun edged past Balzan, beating them 1-0.
