A goal by Jamie Lee Micallef on the 55th minute handed Mgarr United a winning start in Group B of the IZIBET Amateur League as they defeated St. George’s 1-0 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Friday.

On the other hand, at the Centenery Stadium, Kirkop United and Qormi shared the spoils in an entertaining 3-3 draw.

Ricardo Silva Faria put Qormi ahead on the 5th minute but Giorgio Bellia equalised on the 7th and five minutes later, he put Kirkop 2-1 ahead. Jake Bone, however, levelled matters on the 14th minute. Michael Theuma made it 3-1 for Kirkop eleven minutes in the second half but Ricardo Silva Faria restored equilibrium five minutes later.
