Sirens earned their first point as they notched a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Mosta at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
The St. Paul’s Bay side therefore earned their first point after the defeat to Valletta while Mosta were held in a second consecutive draw after last week’s draw with Gudja United.
Following a goalless first half, Mosta were awarded a penalty five minutes in the second half when they were awarded a penalty after Gianluca Sciberras was brought down inside the area by Daniel Opoku and from the penalty spot, Clayton Failla made no mistake.
However four minutes in added time, Sirens equalised courtesy of Jonathan Perea Hinestroza who hit home from close range following a cross from the right and an attempt by Jean Borg which was blocked.
