Fgura United joined Lija Athletic, Zabbar St. Patrick and Zurrieq with maximum points after two matches in the BOV Challenge League as they defeated Tarxien Rainbows 1-0 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Sunday.
Michael Gatt scored the all-important goal one minute in added time.
Pieta’ Hotspurs and Melita shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw at the Centenary Stadium. Mochizuki Hibiki put Pieta’ ahead on the 19th and Claudio Antunes Pavlidis doubled the score on the 35th. Andre Carlos Penha da Costa reduced the gap on the 44th and Gareth Barone equalised eleven minutes in the second half.
Marsa came from behind to beat Senglea Athletic 2-1 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium. Keith Vella put Senglea ahead on the 16th minute but Tharcysio Henrique da Silva equalised on the 64th and two minutes later, Rodrigo Costa da Silva notched the winner.
In another match, Luqa St. Andrew’s collected their first three points as they turned defeat into victory, beating Attard 4-1 at the Centenary Stadium. Bledi Alla put Attard ahead on the 10th minute but six minutes later, Camilo Andres Sanchez Gonzales equalised. Alan Abdel Rahman scored twice on the 27th and 43rd while Lucky Nwaogu Chibuzor made it 4-1.
