Malta Women’s Under 17 Coach Vince Galea has unveiled a 20-player squad set to represent Malta in Group B3 in the upcoming UEFA Under-17 Women’s Championship hosted in Croatia.
The UEFA Under-17 Championship 2023/24 is all set to kick off, with Round 1 matches scheduled between the 1st and 9th of October. This tournament marks the commencement of an enthralling journey that will culminate in the final tournament held in Sweden in May.
Malta will be playing against Croatia on October 2nd, kick-off 12:00, Luxembourg on October 5th, kick-off 15:30, and finally play Azerbaijan on October 8th, kick-off 12:00.
This year’s UEFA Under-17 Championship will see the participation of 22 teams in League B. This includes sides that were relegated from League A during the 2022/23 season, as well as Andorra and Malta who are making their return to the competition.
The format consists of six groups, each showcasing the talent and potential of these young players. The primary objective for the teams in League B is to secure promotion to the prestigious League A. To achieve this, they will engage in fierce competition within their respective groups.
