Women’s Under-17 national team bounce back with a win over Luxembourg

Following the heavy defeat to hosts Croatia, the Malta Women’s Under-17 national team bounced back with a 2-1 win over Luxembourg at the Stadion NK Lučko in Lučko, Croatia on Thursday.

Nyorah Celeste put Malta ahead on the 29th but two minutes later, Maylis Cabral Tavares levelled matters. However three minutes from time, Sara Saliba notched the winner for Malta.

In another match on Thursday, Croatia defeated Azerbaijan 8-0. In the final matches on Sunday, Malta take on Azerbaijan while Luxembourg face hosts Croatia.
