Rabat Ajax registered their third win in Group A of the IZIBET Amateur League as they defeated Sta. Venera Lightnings 4-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
Yuya Emura put the Magpies ahead on the 25th and Ryden Gatt doubled the score on the 36th. Gatt scored another seven minutes from time and Ryan Micallef added another one minute later.
In another match, Qrendi beat Siggiewi 3-0 thanks to a brace by Nicolai Attard on the 11th and 42nd and a goal by Miguel Ciantar three minutes from time.
Rabat lead the way with 9 points, followed by Birzebbuga, Mtarfa and Qrendi on 6, Xghajra 4, Mqabba, Pembroke and Sta. Venera 3, Mdina 1, Mellieha, Kalkara and Siggiewi 0.
Meanwhile in Group B, Ta’ Xbiex were awarded a 3-0 win over Vittoriosa Stars following a protest against the result of the match played on September 18 which Vittoriosa had won 5-1.
