Attard and Zejtun Corinthians both registered their first win in the BOV Challenge League as they defeated Pieta’ Hotspurs 2-1 and St. Andrews 1-0 respectively at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Thursday.
In the first match, a brace by Bledi Alla on the 18th and 75th handed Attard a two-goal lead with Kian Leonardi pulling one back seven minutes from time.
On the other hand, a goal by Fahad Bardiro on the 79th minute made the whole difference in the clash between Zejtun and St. Andrews.
Zurrieq lead the way with 12 points, followed by Melita and Lija on 11, Zabbar 10, Fgura and Marsa 9, Pieta’ and Luqa 8, Swieqi 7, Tarxien and Senglea 5, Attard, St. Andrews and Zejtun 4, Zebbug 2 and Msida 0.
