Luxol St Andrews suffered a second defeat in Group 2 of the UEFA Futsal Champions League Main Round as they were lost 1-3 to hosts Loznica Grad 2018 at the Sports Hall Lagator, Loznica, Serbia.
Although the Maltese champions managed to produce a brave performance, the team from Serbia took advantage of a positive moment towards the end of the game to take the first three points of the competition after losing in their first outing against Anderlecht.
Loznica went ahead a minute from the interval through Dorde Rozic. In the second half, Luxol opened well and restored parity in the 28th minute through Celino Alves. The Serbs kept their composure and between the 34th and 36th minute they rubberstamped their victory after goals from Marko Radovanovic and Eduardo Machado.
Luxol play their last game in this competition as they face Sporting Anderlecht who in turn lost against group leaders Barcelona 2-1.
