Six Premier League players suspended

Six Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches. 

Matias Garcia (Floriana), Brenner Armando Melo dos Santos (Gudja),  Ferdinand Apap, Zachary Grech and Bjorn Kristensen (Hibs) and Damian Aneni Evans (Mosta) are therefore ruled out of match day 7.

Hibernians will be without Apap, Grech and Kristensen for the match against Gudja who will be without Brenner. Garcia will miss Floriana’a game against Sirens and Evans the match against Hamrun.

Santa Lucia official Jeanluke Gilson was banned for six matches while Gudja officials Gordon Grech and Etienne Mercieca were suspended for three matches and one match respectively. 

In the Challenge League, Ryan Caruana (Zurrieq) was suspended for four matches while Lucas Vinicius Viana Prati (Lija), Asante Agyeman (St. Andrews) and Gilberto Martins Leite Carrara (Swieqi) were banned for one match. 

Lija official Colin Ciantar and Zebbug official Clint Bugeja were suspended for one match and two matches respectively.

In the National Amateur League, Roderick Attard (Kirkop), Tyron Hili and Jamie Mifsud (Marsaskala), Irvin Abela (St. George’s) were suspended for one match.
